Directions:
Stir before using. Treekote emulsion is applied cold with a brush or
paddle to fresh grafting or pruning wounds in most any kind of weather,
except when raining or freezing. Always wet brush or paddle before
dipping in emulsion. Treekote will adhere firmly to all surfaces
until forced away by developing callus on the margins of cuts or by the
growth of grafts. This emulsion dries quickly and when dry, is not
affected by climatic changes. On large cut surfaces it is best to
apply a second application in about a week.
Treekote is ready to apply as it comes from the
can. However, if the material should become thick and heavy, add a
little water and mix thoroughly until the mixture is moist enough to
spread in a thin, smooth coat but heavy enough to prevent running.
If the material gets too thin, add a small amount of powdered cement to
get the proper consistency.
Treekote is also an excellent filler for cavities in tree
surgery, when mixed 3 parts sand, 1 part Portland Cement and 2 parts
Treekote. Also can be be used for wood or metal roof repairs.
Hint:
Any extra Treekote should be kept tightly covered to
prevent drying out. It is best to cover the material lightly with
water. Store in a place where it will not freeze.
