Sweet William Dianthus *Biennial Germination: 5-10 days Sow seed in spring or fall cover with 1/4 in. of fine soil, and thrive in light, fast-draining soil. Avoid over watering, dead head flowers for longer bloom. (I prefer to let them all go to seed first and them cut them back, this way you will get another bloom out of them that will be shorter but very full. This is also a wonderful cut flower and some are very fragrant. If planting in fall bloom will be in the later spring. These are very easy to grow and you can even take cuttings and divide the clumps easily. If you have any questions you can email me at verna@redrocknursery.com and I will be happy to help you out.
