Snake Fence at Red Rock!

Hollyhocks

*Biennial or short-lived Perennial

Height:                9 ft
Planting Depth:  1/8 inch
Plant Spacing:   12 inches
Zones:                 All
Location:             Full Sun
Water:                 Regular is best

Can sow in open garden after all danger of frost, cover seed with 1/8" soil, when young plants have 3-4 leaves transplant or thin.

Can be planted in the fall for summer bloom. Once you have them started they re-seed freely year after year! Very easy to grow!

Tip - In July after blooms fade, cut off hollyhock flower stems just above, the ground. Continue to feed and water the plants. Roots will push out another flush of growth, which will re-bloom in September. This is asking a great deal from the plant so be sure to feed and water regularly.

If you have any questions you can email me at verna@redrocknursery.com and I will be happy to help you out.

Happy Gardening!
