Evening Primrose *Perennial Germination: 10 to 14 days Native to the Midwestern US from Nebraska south to Texas, but easily adaptable in other states. It is a wonderful perennial that grows to about 2 ft. with reddish stems and good green foliage. The daytime display of 1 1/2 inch wide, bright yellow fragrant blossoms bloom throughout the summer. Needs very little attention and little water. Drought Tolerant. Broadcast seeds over bed. For even distribution, mix seed with cup of sand before sowing. Cover lightly. Keep bed moist for a week or so to sprout seeds. Excellent for hillsides, ground cover, prairies I use them everywhere, even in my rose garden. The color looks so great with Purple Penstemond and they grow well together. Happy Gardening |
