Snake Fence at Red Rock!

Chervil

*Annual Herb

Days to Germination 12-16
Height: 8-18 in.
Planting Depth: 1/4 in.
Plant Spacing: 9 inches
Location: Part Shade
Water: Regular is best

Start seed indoors in part shade 6 weeks before planting outdoors or sow seed in the garden in part shad in moist well drained soil. Thin plants to 9 inches apart when they are 2 inches tall. Leaves can be harvested 6 weeks after sowing.

Sow every 6 weeks form early spring to late summer for succession of plants. Keep dried chervil in a tightly closed container away from any light.

Plant resembles a fine-leafed parsley and tastes somewhat like anise. The leaves are best when picked fresh and used in summer salads and soups. Also, excellent in potato salad. Chervil makes a pleasant garnish for red meat or oysters.

If you have any questions you can email me at verna@redrocknursery.com and I will be happy to help you out.

Thanks Again!
