Sow after danger of frost, broadcast seeds over prepared beds in well-drained soil. For even distribution, mix seed with one cup of sand before sowing. Cover lightly. Firm by light tamping. Keep beds moist for a week or so to sprout seeds. When plants are 2 inches high, thin or transplant to allow spreading.

This is a hardy perennial with masses of bright yellow flower cluster mounds with silver gray foliage that appears in early spring and begin blooming very early, often with forsythia and tulips. Taller and more spreading than sweet alyssum.
