Welcome to Red Rock Nursery aka
Red Rock Farms. We are located in the beautiful foothills of the Sierra
Nevada mountains. A few miles North of us is Mt. Lassen and on clear days
we have an excellent view of Mt. Shasta. Mt. Lassen is still an active
volcano and is actually the source of the Red Rock in our name. Our soil
is literally very red, and filled with lava rocks of all sizes from Mt. Lassen.
Red
Rock Farms is at an elevation where each winter we get snowed on a few times,
however we have not yet needed to bring out the snow shovels! Springtime
is magnificent here, with the winter rain turning the hills a vibrant
green, together with the blooming wildflowers and red bud trees, it truly is a
beautiful sight to see! Summer is usually hot and dry, but gives way to
Fall that is amazing with the trees changing to vivid reds, oranges and yellows.
We
have a few resident pets here at Red Rock, our cats Lucky, Katy Cat and Garage
Cat, chickens and occasionally we even have wild turkeys! At Red Rock we
also have visitors that come by every now and then to take advantage of our
bottomless cat food dish, most notably Wilbur the skunk.
